URL to follow a channel?

I have came across a need to make URLs to follow a channel. I roughly went through the documentation and this forum, but am unable to do it.

From what i have seen, i need to send a PUT request with the token to follow a channel. I tried this:

https://api.twitch.tv/kraken/users/username/follows/channels/channelname?_method=PUT&oauth_token=token

but i am getting a error. I think the error is with the _method=PUT although i can’t be sure.

What can be a appropriate solution?

EDIT :SOLVED. I was just being a fool and misunderstood. Was using wrong token
