Hello, I noticed that every VOD (that contains muted parts) I tryed has “muted_segments” set to null. For instance this VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/117158957
My Accept Header: application/vnd.twitchtv.v5+json
So, if I understood it right, “muted_segments” should return time intervals where the VOD is muted. Am I correct?
Sorry for bumping, but I have a feeling that this could be a bug? VODS that clearly contain muted segments have the muted_segments parameter set to null.
I think this field is erroneously included in the response. I’ll have to check with the video team on this.
I’m also interested in getting muted_segment via the api
This should be returning data now.
Thank you, but now the response doesn’t contain the “muted_segments” key at all. I tested it with https://api.twitch.tv/kraken/videos/(video ID) and https://api.twitch.tv/kraken/channels/(channel ID>)/videos with several different channel and video ids.
@citruswhale Are you calling v5? I’m using the video in your original post and see all the muted segments. If you’re not specifying the Accept header, you’re getting a v3 response.
Yeah, I forgot about the accept header. Sorry and thank you very much!
