How often does follower count getts updated?

Hi,

I’m calling Twitch API to get number of followers on my channel. When my friend follows me, it seems the follower count returned is not updated until 4~5 minutes later. Could you please confirm the update/syncup interval for follower count?

Twitch caches data to ensure that they do not get overloaded by requests. Twitch recommends you not to poll any endpoint more than once per 60 seconds.
