# Twitch Embed API replaces iframe

When embedding a clip into an iframe the API will destroy and rerender that iframe. This makes it not possible to use with frameworks like ReactJS that maintain a virtual DOM. Is there a way to make the embed API use the existing iframe?

This is the Clips embed in particular, correct? Not the video embed? They’re different embeds, which is why I ask.
