It’s an Extension tutorial, not an OAuth tutorial, so no it doesn’t use OAuth because there’s no need to in this example.
Additionally there’s nothing really Extension specific stuff related to OAuth, so if you’re trying to learn how to implement it, then following the docs, or and OAuth tutorial should be sufficient.
