In the redesign, the whitelist management UI deals with this by allowing you to search by username, and persists Twitch IDs long term, allowing whitelist entries to be stable with regards to the user being added. When the page reloads in the future, the whitelist is rendered with usernames so it’s easy to know who you’ve added already without having to look up usernames via the API.
