Get Channel Followers is the new endpoint, https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference/#get-channel-followers, that’s not deprecated.
You do NOT need a scope for this endpoint if all you need is the total follower count, the moderator:read:followers scope is only needed if you want the list of actual users.
