# Event sub subscription type when viewers count changed for live streams

I am trying to migrate my application to event sub from pull API. One of the requirements is I need to know when the viewers count change for live streams. Is there away a way to receive push notifications when this happens ?

There is no topic for view count changes.

It would be easier to poll the stream API peridocially.

You could raise a feature request [https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers](https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers) but I doubt twitch would go for it
