Yeah, but that tired argument ignores: 1) that there is no official alternative to providing features like these in a nice way, 2) how prominent these tools have become in the community – which itself demonstrates a huge demand for features that Twitch is failing to deliver on it’s own – and, 3) that breakages were always expected to some degree, but the nature of the new chat code requires something greater than even a complete rewrite.
