What message? I assume you’re talking about chat?
If you are talking about chat (in which case this thread is in the wrong forum category) then you can parse the tags that are sent with the various types of messages, as mentioned in the docs https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/irc/tags/, and there will be an emotes field which contains a comma separated list of emote ID’s and where they were used within the message. From this you can calculate how many emotes are used.
