yes, this is weird
i looked at that emoticon_images but seems to bring all the emotes for all channels
searching i found other not documented https://api.twitch.tv/api/channels/<channel_name>/product that has the sub emotes for a single channel in one shorter response, simpler for me to deal with that 
so gonna give a try to that first , but leaving it here so if anyone search for something similar can find it too
