Those changes will definitely improve end user experience by removing clutter and streamlining the interaction. One suggestion, I think it would be very useful to add in the size properties (manifest) max values for width and height in pixels. In my case I have fixed dimensions so that I can reuse assets (styles/images) between video component and panel and I don’t really need to take/fill more real estate from the stream.
